Cute Little I Dream of Jeannie Dolls

For some reason when I was around ten, I coveted my friend’s blue I Dream of Jeannie doll so much. She was tiny, just about six inches tall, and I loved the gold trim on her top and on the cuffs of her harem pants.
Since my friend had a Jeannie doll dressed in pink, she finally consented to me trading her something for it. (I can’t remember for sure but I think it involved my ballerina Barbie). I was so delighted to play with this Jeannie doll, never mind that I didn’t have a doll depicting her “Master,” nor Roger, nor her mother. We had so many magical adventures, Jeannie and I.

Back then, I didn’t know that Remco also made I Dream of Jeannie outfits. I think I would have found these just as ugly back then as I do now, and wouldn’t have wanted them.

This 1966 Libby I Dream of Jeannie doll is before my time. I doubt I would have wanted to play with her, since her head seems oddly large and misshapen compared to her body. Great outfit though!
